You'll encounter a new enemy: the Blowdart Sniper.The trick to navigating the opening walkway section is to take your time and keep track of your surroundings. Stay vigilant wonky suspended structures, that significantly increase the risk of a fall from heights, and enemies that seem to crawl out of the woodwork are a constant concern until you reach the swamp at the bottom, at which point you'll face a new set of problems. Blighttown can be a very intimidating place.INTRODUCTION AND ADVICE BEFORE YOU BEGIN: This makes Valley of Drakes and Blighttown accessible, from Firelink Shrine, upon arriving in Lordran. Alternatively, this gate can be unlocked with the Master Key.This entrance is also very close to the Firelink Shrine elevator to New Londo. The key we picked up two sentences, opens the gate. Across that bridge is the entrance to New Londo Ruins. After acquiring the key, head back to the mouth of the cave, and there should be a wooden bridge (different to the rope bridge you came across). On your left, find a chest holding a key. After entering the cave, proceed ahead to the end of the wooden platform.This path can be used right after entering from the Valley of Drakes entrance. See below for the key to get back to Firelink Shrine.Follow the sloping pathway upwards until you get to a big cave on the left hand side, and enter you'll have to battle some Drakes on your way through the valley toward the cave to Blighttown. Enter the cave and take the elevator down to arrive in the Valley of Drakes. You should notice small cave in the cliff side, guarded by a Black Knight. Take the first path on your right and follow it downwards, to the very bottom of Darkroot Basin. From Blacksmith Andre in Undead Parish, head down the stairs and into Darkroot Garden.This path can be taken only after killing the Taurus Demon. Note: that The Depths' door to Blighttown can not be opened from the Blighttown side.Continue in the same direction after you exit the stairs and you'll find a broken metal fence, across the room. Proceed down the ladder and then, down the long stairway. After you descend a very short staircase, find a hidden ladder behind some boxes, to your left. From the sewer bonfire, head straight out the hallway and take the first right.Acquire the key to unlock Blighttown by defeating the boss of the Depths: the Gaping Dragon. The entrance to Blighttown can be found in the same room as Domhnall of Zena. The peacefulness of this park is admirable making Willow Bay Country Park the perfect Base to relax and explore.Full Blighttown Walkthrough Access From the Depths In fact, Devon and Cornwall have more Heritage coastline per mile than any other area in the UK. Willow Bay Country Park is situated between the stunning Hartland Heritage Coast, with its dramatic views and beaches and the National Trust across Pentire Point, the park benefits from being located on the borders of Devon and Cornwall. ![]() You can also visit the local fishing lakes or enjoy a leisurely lunch in one of the many traditional pubs or restaurants’s the area has to offer. There is a village shop within a mile of the park which has locally-sourced food such as bread, veg, cakes and meat and sits alongside national brands. Local towns close to the park include Holsworthy and Bude, which have several supermarkets and there are plenty of charming Cornish villages dotted around. Close by is Widemouth Bay, with its stretch of famous golden sand, or you can venture a few short miles to Crackington Haven, another popular beach with cliff top walks. The beautiful park is just a short drive from the sea where you can park and pick up a coastal path walk that goes on for miles and miles. Willow Bay Country Park, in North Cornwall, is a fantastic location for those wishing for a coastal break and also for anyone wanting a base from which to explore the many delights of Cornwall or Devon.
